Educational Background:

Dr. Thomas holds professional certifications in areas such as instructional systems design, knowledge engineering, enterprise architecture, and in HPT, the Certified Performance Technologist (CPT). Dr. Thomas is a graduate of Texas Christian University and received her masters and doctorate in experimental psychology, with a co-concentration in multivariate statistics, from the University of Georgia.

Professional Experience:

As CEO of The Fleming Group, LLC, Dr. Thomas provides management consulting services to commercial, non-profit, and governmental organizations. In this capacity, she diagnoses and closes performance gaps and evaluates results throughout all levels of an organization. To accomplish this, continually-evolving best practices in strategic planning, operational architecture, process engineering, curriculum design, evaluation, and more, may be engaged. At the moment, we are designing and implementing an organization-wide performance management system for a non-profit mental health services provider. Another project involves the design and development of a center for performance excellence for an armed-services command training center.

Dr. Thomas is a frequent contributor and invited speaker to local and international professional organizations. Some affiliations include Phi Beta Kappa, Sigma Xi Scientific Research Society, American Psychological Association (APA), American Society for Training and Development (ASTD), and, of course, the International Society for Performance and Instruction (ISPI). Dr. Thomas is actively involved in the ISPI Research Committee and created the Annual Research Exchange and the Research Roundtable sessions at the ISPI annual conferences.

Teaching:

In addition to working with clients, Dr. Thomas as adjunct faculty teaches courses in statistics, research methods, and master’s thesis research projects.
