Directions on How to Create a Local Replica of Course DBs
For Lotus Notes Release 7 Users

Follow the directions described in this document to create a local replica (copy) of your course database on your computer. Use the same direction to create a replica of BSU Campus DB. The screen shots used in this document were taken on a PC Windows platform. Although Macintosh users will see slightly different appearance on the screen (mostly the colors), they can follow the same directions presented in this document.

1.  Connect your computer to the Internet.

2.  Launch Lotus Notes. Enter your password and click OK.

3. From the menubar, select File - -> Replication - -> New Replica...

4. The Choose Database window will appear. Click the drop-down arrow of the Server box and select ipt/BSU. If ipt/BSU is not listed, type ipt/BSU in the Server box and click the Open button.

5. The database items on the server will be listed. Select the course number that you have registered and click the Select button. Note: Make sure you select the course number with a correct section number.

6. Click OK to start creating a replica of the database on your local computer.

7. The course database will appear on the replication page and it will start the replication process. When the replication process is finished, double-click the course database item to open it.
