Both degree-seeking and certificate
students should take IPT 536 in
their first semester:
- IPT 536 Foundations of Instructional and Performance
Technology (4 credits, required)
The following courses can also be taken with
IPT536 in their first semester:
- IPT 535 Principles of Adult Learning (no
prerequisite) (4 credits, required)
- IPT 530 Evaluation Methodology (corequisite: IPT536)
(4 credits, required)
- IPT 510 Collaborative Online Communication & Learning
(no prerequisite) (1 credit, elective)
- Other electives that do not have prerequisites
It is recommended that new students take only one or two
courses, and not more than 8 credits, during their
first semester. For example, first-semester students might
take IPT 536 only (4 credits), or IPT 536 and IPT 510 (a total of 5 credits).
Below is the course offering schedule of the 4 courses
listed above. Pay attention to the availability of each
course on campus and online each semester (also see
