Submit Equipment Availability Checklist (EAC) for IPT Online Courses

System Requirements for All IPT Online Students

In order to take an online course, students must own or have convenient access (a minimum of 2 hours per day, 5 days per week) to a complete computer system. This can be a Pentium PC running Windows XP or newer, or a Macintosh running System 10.0 or newer; with at least 250MB free hard drive space; 64 MB RAM; a high speed internet connection or a network connection; CD-ROM or CD/DVD-ROM drive; sound card and speakers.

Courses delivered via Lotus Notes require students to have an Internet connection that can be used for replication of Lotus Notes databases (the sending and receiving of messages and files using Lotus Notes software). This is accomplished using your Internet Service Provider (ISP) at home or a network connection at work. Most ISPs meet this requirement (including AOL, CompuServe, and MSN). If a student uses a network connection that goes through a firewall, s/he must get permission from her/his employer to have IPT trusted into the firewall. Students must also have a working email account. Some courses may be delivered on systems other than Lotus Notes and may have additional requirements.

Students (whether they use a PC system or a Macintosh system) must install Lotus Notes 7.x.

Each student must complete an Equipment Availability Checklist (below) and have it verified by the IPT Systems Administrator. If you have questions or need assistance, call Ron Grames, the IPT Systems Administrator, at 208-426-3144.

Equipment Availability Checklist (EAC)

Your cooperation in providing the following information is appreciated. Your responses assist us in determining if your computer system meets the equipment requirements and are helpful if and when technical problems arise. Ensuring that this information is current is very important! Consequently, it is the student's responsibility to resubmit this form whenever changes occur to their computer system.

In general, please submit information about the primary computer system used for this course. If you'll be using more than one computer, such as a computer at home and a computer at work, or a laptop when traveling, please complete and submit this form for each computer system used. If you are filling this form out for a Macintosh computer some of the following items may not be applicable.

Please enter and submit the following information...
