Hi,
new IPT online students!
I'm
Jo Ann Fenner, Associate Program Developer.
I am your first point of
contact when considering enrollment in an IPT online course. I am
available to answer questions regarding the program, assist you with the
forms and materials required to be eligible to take an IPT online class, and
am your temporary advisor until you complete the
admission process.
As illustrated in the
Enrollment Procedure Flowchart,
you must complete the following procedure to enroll in IPT
courses:
Submit an application for admission
as a degree or certificate seeking student (Note: If you want to
take a course as a non-degree seeking student, submit
the
Boise State Graduate Admission Application form
only.)
-
Select an IPT online course to
take.
-
Register for the IPT online course.
To register for a course, you must first have been
assigned a BSU student ID# and password by the BSU Registrar (it is NOT
the same as your Lotus Notes ID file and password that Ron Grames sends to you). If you are ready to register for a course, but have not yet
received your BSU student ID# and password, please notify me via e-mail at
jfenner@boisestate.edu.
4.1. Order textbook.
Then, to take the IPT online course
using Lotus Notes, you
must complete the following procedure:
4.2.2.
Submit Equipment Availability Checklist (EAC). Upon receipt
of your EAC, an IPT student Lotus Notes account will be created for you. IPT
Systems Administrator, Mr. Ron Grames, will send you an email containing
your username, password, ID file (e.g. jdoe.id) and instructions for
downloading Lotus Notes.
4.2.3. Install/configure Lotus Notes and create
replicas of BSU Campus and IPT Boot Camp databases.
4.2.4. Successfully complete the IPT Boot Camp. The
Fall 2008 Boot Camp will be held between August 11
- 19. Upon completion of the above steps, you are then allowed
to create the IPT course database and participate in the online
course. The directions for creating your IPT course database are
provided during the boot camp.
If you have any questions, please feel free to
contact me directly by phone 208-424-5135 or by email at
jfenner@boisestate.edu.
