Create Online Course Databases

Lotus Notes ScreenThe IPT online start-up week is referred to the week before the first day of class. As soon as the semester start-up week starts, online students must create a local replica of the course database (DB) for the online course that they have registered for.

Directions for creating a local replica of your course DB(s) and BSU Campus DB are at the following links:

Note: Once students create a replica of the BSU Campus DB, they do not need to create it each semester again.

During the startup week, students should replicate DBs frequently and complete the startup week activities posted by their instructor.  The start-up week activities may include reading the course syllabus and asking questions, introducing themselves in class, checking their textbooks and other course materials, and editing their profiles. Students must test and make sure that they can read and write messages in their online course DB.

Any technical problems must be resolved during the startup week. For any technical questions, please contact IPT Systems Administrator, Mr. Ron Grames.
