GRADUATION FLOWCHART

Choose one of the culminating activity options by filling out the online Application for Admission to Candidacy (AAC) . List the classes you have already taken and the classes you propose to take to complete the degree. Contact your advisor to ask him or her to review and approve your decision.

Note: Students who have already completed 19 credits should fill the AAC out as soon as possible and get their proposed culminating activity approved by their advisor.

Graduate College Deadline

  • October 5, 2009 for May 2010 graduation
  • March 1, 2009 for August 2010 graduation

The AAC  must be filled out completely.  This means that all classes/credits need to be listed, even if they have not been completed.  All completed electives should be listed as they appear on the transcript. Transcripts are available via your student account on BroncoWeb.

After the AAC is completely filled out and you are ready to formally submit it for graduation, please notify your advisor; and he/she will print the AAC out from the website, check it for accuracy and forward it for the required signatures.

NOTE: The AAC must be received in the IPT office at least one week in advance of the above deadlines so that signatures can be obtained and the form sent to the Graduate College by the published deadlines.

Deadline to submit online and pay fee

  • January 25, 2010 for May 2010 graduation
  • June 10, 2010 for August 2010 graduation

Students now apply through BroncoWeb. See http://broncoweb.boisestate.edu/publications/students/graduation.pdf BroncoWeb is set up to block applications for graduation unless the Candidacy form has been recorded as received by the Graduate Admission and Degree Services Office.

Fees are $25 for those applying for a degree. Late applications will be charged a $25 late fee in addition to the $25 fee for the degree.

The Request form will be emailed to each eligible student approximately one month prior to the start of the semester of graduation.

Exams and defenses are generally only given during Fall and Spring semesters.   If a student requests to take the exam during the summer session, they will be required to enroll in and pay for the 1-credit online elective IPT600 Assessment.  Please note that this credit does not count toward the 36 credits required for the masters degree.

If you have any questions, please contact Ms. Linda Burnett by email at lburnett@boisestate.edu or by phone at 208-426-1312. You may also request the latest comprehensive exam information by contacting her.
