Graduation

Attention Prospective Graduates,

Listed below are the details regarding the paperwork you will need to complete in order to graduate. NOTE: Students working on both the master's degree and the Certificate in HPT will need to process the graduation paperwork twice, once for each program. See the flowchart for the certificate graduation paperwork.

 GRADUATION FLOWCHART

Choose one of the culminating activity options by filling out the online Application for Admission to Candidacy (AAC) form. List the classes you have already taken and the classes you propose to take to complete the degree. Contact your advisor to ask him or her to review and approve your decision.

(Note: Students who have already completed 19 credits should fill this form out as soon as possible and get their proposed culminating activity approved by their advisor.)

Graduate College Deadline*
February 26, 2008 for August 2008 graduation
July 3, 2008 for December 2008 graduation
October 6, 2008 for May 2009 graduate

The AAC must be filled out completely.  This means that all classes/credits need to be listed on the form, even if they have not been completed.  All completed electives should be listed as they appear on the transcript. Transcripts are available via your student account on BroncoWeb.

After the form is completely filled out and you are ready to formally submit it for graduation, please notify your advisor; and he/she will print the form out from the website, check it for accuracy and forward it for the required signatures.

NOTE: The form must be received in the IPT office at least one week in advance of the above deadlines so that signatures can be obtained and the form sent to the Graduate College by the published deadlines.

Deadline to submit online and pay fee
June 5, 2008 for August 2008 graduation
October 1, 2008 for December 2008 graduation
January 26, 2009 for May 2009 graduation (available starting 8/30/08)

Students now apply through BroncoWeb. Start by logging in using your BroncoWeb account, click on Registrar, then on Apply for Graduation. BroncoWeb is set up to block applications for graduation unless the Candidacy form has been recorded as received by the Graduate Admission and Degree Services Office.

Fees are $25 for those applying for a degree. Late applications will be charged a $25 late fee in addition to the $25 fee for the degree.

The Request form will be emailed to each eligible student approximately one month prior to the start of the semester of graduation.

Exams and defenses are generally only given during Fall and Spring semesters.

If you have any questions, please contact Linda Burnett by email at lburnett@boisestate.edu or by phone at 208-426-1312. You may also request the latest comprehensive exam information by contacting Linda.
